Careers

As of Aug 27, 2010 we have an opening for:

1) Sheet Metal CAD Operator
2) Manual Machinist
3) Plant Scheduler

4) Laser Machine Operator

The Sheet Metal CAD Operator takes sheet metal Solid Works Models or customer drawings and create G-code output files for Mitusbishi lasers and Trumpf Punch Presses. The candidate would have to be familiar with sheet metal fabrication, Solid Works and be extremely organized. Any candidates with Metamation Diamond Soft experience driving a Mitsubishi laser would probably be hired on the spot.

A Journeyman Manual Machinist or a machinist who has done one or two years of their apprenticeship is required to manufacture precision machined components for other manufacturing companies. Must be willing and able to work with other machinists and apprentices in a team environment. A commitment to automation and constant improvement is necessary. Hansen Industries manufacturers small precision components that must meet both the drawing dimension and tolerances but also pass strict but varying aesthetic requirements.

The Plant Scheduler would be familiar with sheet metal manufacturing, Lean Manufacturing,
the Theory of Constraints (the Goal), programming and computer scheduling systems. We have a sheet metal shop that needs to be scheduled to optimize manpower, equipment and throughput. Currently we use the scheduling feature of Jobboss (a manufacturing control software system) to schedule the plant and this system has many limitations.

We want the Scheduler/sofware/KanBan Pull system to:
-Implement a Pull System to pull jobs through the shop
-Decide on what jobs to start and when.
-Balance Work Stations to adapt to machine break downs, new orders,
and employee absenteeism.

The Laser Machine Operator will set up and run a completely automated Mitsubishi 4000 Watt laser processing system. The operator will perform calibration and focusing of the lenses, download programs, load material into the tower,  and adjust the machine parameters to optimize performance and part quality.

We are a non-union shop that offer a clean environment, profit sharing, respect for the individual, ping pong and Fooz ball at lunch. A great place to work!
